    I hate Sprint

I had been Sprint customer only since last December, and I absolute hate them. Back then I was in need of another phone plus was looking around for another carrier. Sprint came highly recommended by my now-former co-workers...mostly for the discounts they offered. I joined Sprint, but soon after the new year I started having problems with them...from not updating my account properly to changes made to my account that I didn't request. Every new statement it was something new. Then once I had to leave my job for some personal reasons I choose to discuss I started getting behind on my bill but would catch up through tax returns and the infamous stimulus package and even through extra cash I made for being a poll worker during the June primaries. But I'm going the same bull again and feeling really stand-offish. I've been trying to stick it out because of my contract, but right now that $200 early termination fee will be worth what it's for.

T-Mobile just came to the Carolinas through buying out Suncom...thinking about getting a sidekick, what I always wanted 'cause I'm a texting tech geek like that.

  • My Relationship With Luis

Of late Luis and I have been getting a lot closer than expected and to a point we are already coming to a compromise on many things and considering marriage.

For background, Luis and I met on the job a little more than a year ago. I remember when I first saw and met him, I thought I felt time stop for a moment and heard the angels sigh. My heart literally skipped a beat. We did not exchange much conversation other than "I need product #####" and "Here you go miss" or even "Aquí, señorita" to see if I was paying attention. Then days later, when I was done with training he noticed me coming in and out of the warehouse quite a bit as I debated what merchandise to put out. One of those times when I came back in he walked up to me and said "good morning" in a very flirty manner. I was flustered a little and stopped because I wasn't sure if I wanted say “¡Buenos Días!” or just "good morning" back to him. I managed back at him "good morning," and he and I have been jointed at the hip ever since.

Then we started overcoming our differences in ways and culture as he is Latino and I am black. We began seeing each other outside of work despite how I commuted to work. Then he helped me look into an apartment where he lived and get one, the very one I am in now. And from there we would spend every possible moment together...until last January when we got into a stupid argument concerning the primaries. I was angry with him for starting it because he was picking on me for being for Barack Obama, and he was angry with me because he was afraid I was right about Hillary Clinton to show her true colors later during the primary season. We did not get over the argument then, but for the sake of our jobs and the fact that we often work together with merchandise we got on good terms and try to be friends.

Then one day in July I met Carlito as he was vacationing and I was hanging out on the beach with another coworker. Carlito and I clicked right away, but it was nothing like when Luis and I met each other. Carlito and I exchanged numbers and we kept in touch via phone and text. Many phone calls, thousands of texts, three visits, several online chats, and a month later Carlito and I got into a muy caliente argument where he called me several names and basically said that just like any other black woman I'll always be inferior and a black dog. I was quite hurt and very offended, and my coworkers could pick up that something was amiss. So for the rest of that week, coworkers would take me out to cheer me up, and then Luis took it a step further and did a night in with me at my place. In short, Luis and I reconciled over--of all things--sex, salsa dancing, and alcohol before the night was over.

Since then Luis and I have been together as if we have been together all our lives. We have been making decisions and compromises together for our relationship, but now we are slowly approaching the subject of marriage. Two things we are hoping to address within the next three weeks is church of choice (because he is catholic and I am non-denominational) and pre-martial living arrangements (as my lease is up in late October).
